Thinking of doing a sewing class in 2010?

I'm sure many of you would like to take part in some sewing classes in 2011 and learn new skills! I'm thinking of taking a millinery course...and I've found one at The Textile Workshop in Nottingham, just down the road from me and on a Saturday morning.... perfect for me to fit around work. I'm sure you'll find a workshop perfect for you too!

Coventry Sewing Centre runs regular dressmaking and quilting class, and is also starting a Tuesday "Coffee and Sewing Drop in Session", where you can come in with small sewing tasks that you need advice on, how to turn up trouser hems, how to replace elastic on a skirt waist, why not give Briege a call at the shop for more details? 02476 257266 or check out their website?


The Textile Workshop in Sherwood, Nottingham is ran by Karen and Suzie. They runs a huge range of sewing and craft classes, from jewelery making, card classes, quilting and felting and of course dressmaking! Michelle Pye @ The English Couture Company, in Syston, Leicestershire, runs a range of dressmaking and tailoring one day workshops to four day workshops. Michelle also is the UK distributor for many specialist tailoring interfacing's and interlinings. Check out her website for full information.

J & P Sewing Machines and Dimples Workshops cater for all your sewing needs in the Warrington area! J & P has over 30 years experience in the sewing machine business and supplies sewing machines for Dawn at Dimples Workshops (directly opposite). Dawn runs workshops on dressmaking, corsetry, bra's, millinery, pattern cutting and kids classes! Check out her website for full details.


Alison Smith @ the School of Sewing in Ashby de la Zouch runs various dressmaking, corsetry and tailoring classes to City and Guilds level, the School also runs fun one day workshops such as Fabric Corsages and cushions. Check out their website and download the full Course Brochure for 2011.
